About the Cyber Scheme
The Cyber Scheme was established in September 2013. It provides National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) certified CHECK penetration testing exams, helping organisations develop core skills in their workforces. CHECK is the scheme under which NCSC approved companies can conduct authorised penetration tests of public sector and critical national infrastructure (CNI) systems and networks.
They also run cyber security practitioner training courses and have an innovative sponsorship scheme so that partners in the cyber security industry can contribute towards improving standards, expanding the focus of testing from CHECK into Red Teaming and onto OT scenarios and beyond.
Additionally, they are here to support, educate and recruit a new generation of talent who traditionally have been unable to access a career in cyber security, addressing the current skills gap and ensuring a robust cyber industry can protect the UK into the future.
